Whole Foods Market, Trader Joes and Pei Wei

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope everyone has been having a good week so far and tomorrow's Friday....!!!
Can't get much better than that!
Yesterday, Marshal and I took a trip to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. We both are tired of not having a lot of gluten-free options in our regular grocery stores, so we were excited to see what these stores had to offer.

We were really surprised by how inexpensive some items at Trader Joe's were. We bought several items here, including these Sweet Potato Corn Tortilla Chips! They are AWESOME!! I love any kind of sweet potato snack, so these were perfect! I think they would be good with some kind of queso dip....

We will definitely be going back to Trader Joe's! We saw a lot of gluten-free things there, including penne pasta. We're going to try to make a seafood dish with that soon.

We went to lunch at Pei Wei, which I had never been to before. They have a gluten-free menu!! I had the Asian Chicken Salad, without the wontons and with a lime vinaigrette dressing. It was sooo yummy!!

Marshal had the gluten-free version of the Sweet and Sour Shrimp. He let me try a couple bites and it was very good as well!!

Off to Whole Foods Market....
We found a lot of gluten-free snacks and frozen food options here than we are normally used to seeing in the grocery store, which was awesome! We found Udi's Frozen Pizzas....
Pretty good, soy free as well as gluten-free! It basically tasted like a thin crust pizza, with very good crust!! The pepperoni was yummy too! We will definitely be going back to get more of these!

Marshal also found one of his favorite "snacks"....
We ate these after the pizza, so I was pretty full already but they were very good! Tasted like cheese bread!

Then, for dessert...Glutino's Chocolate Chip Cookies and Jovial Foods Chocolate Cookies....
These are REALLY good!! I love any kind of chocolate chip cookie and these hit the spot!
These were very good as well. Didn't have an overwhelming chocolate taste, but were still sweet. I think these would be good with coffee. Marshal said they reminded him of biscotti.

I'll be blogging about other stuff that we got soon!!

And, just something to end this post on, here is a picture of what Marshal put together for lunch the other day...gluten-free of course! Tuna, tomatoes, cheese and Marys Crackers....
