Apple Spice Bars and Engagement!
Marshal and I's 7 month anniversary is tomorrow, the 14th, and I was planning on making him something to mail him. Turns out I didn't have to mail anything because he came home this past weekend! I was totally surprised! I ended up making his "treats" on Friday and took them to his house.
I decided to use some 1-2-3 GlutenFree Mix I had on hand. The mix was for pan bars and since I had some leftover applesauce, I decided to make some Apple Spice Bars! YUM! And let me tell you, they were a BIG hit! So tasty and moist! And they were sooo easy to make!
All you need is 3 large eggs, 3/4 cup veg. oil, and 3/4 cup applesauce:
Blend it all together with the mix and spread evenly in a 9x13 pan:
Bake at 350 for about 35 minutes and done! Let cool and add your topping, if desired! I decided to add powdered sugar, but the box also recommended using cream cheese icing which would have been heavenly!
All packed and ready to go to Marshal's house:
Little did I know that I would be getting this anniversary gift the next day:
I love my fiance (AH!) and am so proud of him! I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together! June 2013 is only 10 months away!! YAY!!
I love you baby! And to quote Dave Barnes: "I have and I always will!"
Dave Barnes' song: I have and I always will was our first dance song! :)
