Goldfish Puffs Review
If you haven't heard by now, Pepperidge Farm has started selling Gluten Free Goldfish Puffs at Target stores. I have heard they are selling at other stores, but have personally not seen them anywhere else as of yet. There are three flavors: Mega Cheese, Buffalo Wing, and Cheddar Bacon. We found several Mega Cheese bags at our local Target before we moved, so we bought them all. They were in the dollar section, selling for .99 cents per 2 oz bag.
The bag is clearly labeled gluten free, which is always a nice thing to see.
I tried to show with this picture how many are in each bag, but I don't think I quite captured it. There are a TON in each bag. It almost feels like you'll never run out!
True to their name, they are "puffy". But they don't really taste like the Goldfish we all remember from our childhoods (or teen or adult years ;) ). They taste like mini Cheetos, which is a fine taste, but it's just not quite the same. They are a little denser than Cheetos and don't have quite the same texture. They will still make your fingers orange after eating. :)
Even so, they are a great and fun snack for kids (or adults). Don't be dissuaded from buying them just because they aren't like regular Goldfish. They really do taste great. It's nice to have another option for a gfree snack every now and then. I'm grateful for that
